altered images

Before starting my art foundation, we were set an 'altered images project'. For this, I tried to recreate childhood portraits that resembled some sort of significance as I grew up. I grew a moustache (bad idea) and stuck it onto the portrait because I used to act and dance a lot when I was younger, and I felt this influenced my imagination a great deal.

Along with the other altered images, I wanted to draw a portrait to challenge myself and experiment with various grades of pencil. This particular portrait was significant because it's the only photo there is of my dad and I.
